I know that I've been raving about Grey's Anatomy alot on this blog, but right now, just right now, I HAVE TO RAVE about the latest episode of the other major series I'm watching - Heroes.
This latest episode, S02E07 - Out of Time, is just SUPERB. SUPER DUPER EXCITING. ONE OF THE BLOODY BEST EPISODE OF HEROES EVER. It ranks with the episodes like 'The Company Guy' and 'String Theory' as one of the best from the series and really, just when you thought the series couldn't develop in any other way possible, the plot thickens: it twists and turns and throws you not one, but multiple big bang bomb sized plot shells that will shatter your mind and blow your heart! IT WAS THAT GOOD.
I wanna talk about it right here, right now, but I don't want to spoil it all for you. FINALLY, we are getting some answers, we are getting some indication of what is going to happen, we are getting an idea of the direction that this season is heading. As always, everything starts falling into place, every freaking little piece of the puzzle is finding its place in the big big picture! Amazing, amazing TV! This is TV in its god-most freaking best! Awesomeness!
Bottomline: Go watch it before someone spoils it for you!
P.S: Oh yeah, though it might be advisable not to watch it if you are currently depressed over the Virology CA we just had. It features alot of talk about Vaccines, Antibodies and Viruses. Surprise surprise! They have their very own Shanti virus and apparently, it undergoes antigenic shifts as well! A pity they didn't test us on that virus, because I know all about it right now!
WOO HOO! Am I the only one out there who is absolutely pique about the upcoming Transformers movie? I honestly can't wait for it to hit local shores - which should be tomorrow actually.
Ignore the rather low quality of the trailer up there. It was the best I could find out of youtube. And I'm sure all of you can see that its the Japanese trailer, given the Japanese subtitles and the way the announcer proclaims the name of the movie at the end! I love the way he announces 'Transformers'. So typical of a Japanese.
I don't think I can consider myself a Transformer fanatic/geek, but I do know that I am a fan of it. I never did manage to collect any old toys or merchandise, but I remember watching the cartoons and even the cartoon movie that was made when I was young, and becoming sorta obsessed with names like Optimus Prime, Rodimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Bumblebee, and the Dinobots! I loved the Dinobots! Come to think of it, my favourite character was always Rodimus Prime, which to the uninitiated, is the successor of Optimus Prime after the latter got shut down or something. But anyway, Rodimus isn't in the upcoming movie because Optimus is still around. (Okay, somehow, the whole chunk up there sorta indicate that I was a Transformer geek, but I assure you, I'm not that big a Transformer geek... I'm more of a Starwars and LOTR and HP geek!)
The series has really come a long way now... from the blocky animation to the high tech wizardry we see today. The TV spots and trailers look great. I like the fact that the robots actually look realistic, although there were lots of controversy over the updating of the robots like Bumblebee becoming a Camaro instead of a Volkswagen beetle, Megatron no longer becoming a giant cannon etc. I think its okay as long as they don't deviate too much from the original personalities of the characters. It'll be like the famous 'make Snape a blonde' or 'Arwen a kick ass super heroine' examples, no one would buy it. So as long as the robots have personalities similar to their original forms, I'm absolutely okay with them being spiffed and spiced up for the movie.
"Whoever finds this, my car is ALIVE!" You have no idea kid, no idea at all.
Oh yeah, I read in today's newspaper that the whole cast of 'Heroes' is coming to Singapore for some world tour! Can you imagine that? The likes of Peter, Claire, Hiro and Sylar all walking around looking at the Merlion and the Esplanade? How cool is that!
You're Dr. Meredith Grey! Always at the heart of it all, it's a good thing you're a real peacemaker, just like your Grey's Anatomy match, Dr. Meredith Grey. Caring and giving, you enjoy taking time out to help other people, even if you've got a few complications of your own, and that's what makes you a real life saver. You've obviously got a lot on your plate, but you still have the skills and the drive to succeed. Keep your chin up, and remember - you're the star!

I have always said I was most like Meredith! That said, I have been waiting for ages for Tickle.com to create a Grey's Anatomy quiz. And now, its finally here! Woo-hoo! ____________________________________________________
You're Hiro Nakamura! Such a dreamer! Even when you're stuck in a rut, you still reach for the stars. Happy-go-lucky and trusting you may be, but silly you're not — you've definitely got a practical side. And no matter what the future holds for you, we know you'll have fun along the way!

I never thought I'll be Hiro, always thought I was more of a Peter type personality, considering I'm so emo and all. But I'm quite geeky and love day dreaming, which wouldn't be totally out of place for being Hiro as well.
Oh shit! I thought S01E17 - The Company Man, was already the best episode of 'Heroes' ever. But S01E20 - String Theory, just blew everything that I had already established about the series away. What an episode!
I'm feeling quite depressed by it really. Haha! Everyone is either dead, evil, or ambiguously evil/good. It so so depressing. I was like 'what the f***!' when a certain person turned out to be another person. Hell of a twist. If the world is gonna be what it is going to be, I seriously see no point in living in it. SERIOUSLY.
Anyway, I hope Hiro does manage to go back and make everything right. I can't imagine all the people hooking up and dying. Its just so freaking weird. And depressing. ARGH.
